The Museum of Science and Industry demonstrates the important role Manchester has played in some of the most ground-breaking achievements that have shaped how we live today. Manchester Central Library is impressive in terms of both its architecture and huge collection of lending and reference material, whilst Manchester Museum houses a large catalogue of artefacts from the region and across the planet.

Today, Manchester may be best known for its two rival football clubs, Manchester United and Manchester City. If a trip to Old Trafford or the Etihad is not enough, the National Football Museum takes visitors on an interactive and engaging journey through the creation of England’s number one sport. It’s not just rival football clubs in the city though, with Britain’s two major television networks ITV and BBC both having bases at the multi-million pound MediaCityUK development in Salford.

“The thing about Manchester is…
it all comes from here”
